How you could see after looking into the sky you weren't sure, but before you stood a figure draped in a large red turtle neck, his eyes snow white. "D9nt w9rry, [name]."

There was a flash and you blinked rapidly, everything becoming dark again as your sight failed you. You could feel your scorched skin and your eyes burned if you opened them, so you chose to keep them closed. You could feel arms supporting your weight as you were carried somewhere, though you couldn't tell by the sounds around you.  Everything was unfamiliar, the sounds, the smells, and whoever was holding you definitely wasn't human. You're set on a cool surface and you breathe out in relief, coolness spreading across your limbs. You don't know how long you lay there, but when you do open your eyes all you can see is black.

"A-are the lights off...?"

"They are n9t."

Your breathing speeds up and you gulp in loads of air "fuck... Nooooo why the fuck did this have to happen..."

"I find that language t9 6e very triggering-"

"...I'd rather have died on Earth..."

You hear someone's breath hitch as you start to cry, curling in on yourself. You hear someone get up and a feather light touch tickles the skin of your arm. You shove the person back and scrabble away from the touch. You fall off of something, stumbling towards what you think is the wall. You feel a door jamb and dash through it as there's a crash and a yelp of pain.

"Wait! [name] c9me back!"

"Leave me alone!" You run quickly, crashing into corners and the occasional person as you run. You dot know where you're going but you don't care, your mind is fried and you can't see anything. You crash into someone and hands clamp down on your arms, making you squeal in pain and squirm. "Let me go!"

"[Name] please calm down." There's a voice beside you and you try to get away, tears dripping onto the floor and someone's arms.

"[name] chill" you take a few deep breaths and you hear footsteps running towards you.

"There y9u are."

"Thank you for watching her Kankri, we can take it from here."

"Alright R9se. D9 take care 9f her."

"Of course. Come Dave, we can have Kanaya look at her."

"Right behind you" the hands disappear and Rose takes your arm, guiding you away from the hallways. You sniffle and rub your burning eyes, laughing sadly when Rose chides you softly and bats your hand away. Dave takes your other hand to keep you from rubbing your eyes and you're surrounded by the two siblings.

You hear a door open and soft music in the background. "Rose Dear, Who Is This?"

"This is [Name], she's a friend of ours."

"I Thought Your World Was Destroyed When Your Game Started."

"I thought so too. How she survived is a mystery to me, but she was somehow able to stumble upon a portal into the game."

"Oh My, Did She Go Outside?"

"I was never inside before now..."

"I Should Have A Remedy For Her Skin, But Her Blindness Is Permanent." You hear someone shuffle around and a top being unscrewed. An immediate numbness spreads over your skin as a paste is rubbed into the skin. "Rose, You And Dave Go Inform The Other Of Our New Guest."

"Okay"

"Alright." You hear the door opening and feet shuffling out as Kanaya continues to apply the paste.

"So Dear, Care To Tell Me About Yourself?"

"Uh... I like (hobby) and (hobby), but I like to  (fave hobby) the most.. I have (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes.. Well, had..."

"Well I Think You Look Lovely Dear. You Still Have Such Pretty Eyes, Even If The Color Is Hard To See."

"..." You start crying again and she shushes you gently, enveloping you in a motherly hug. You sniffle and hug her tightly, not noticing a knock on the door.

"Come In."

"Ah Kanaya, I was just l99king f9r y9u. Are y9u aware 9f the wherea69uts 9f P9rrim?"

"I Believe She Was Helping Latula With A New Outfit."

You rub your eyes and reach out for the voice, needing to know who it is. Your fingers bump into a soft fabric and you press your hand against it, sliding your hand up. You realize what you're doing and pull your hand away, your cheeks glowing red. "I... I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to invade your personal space I just..."

"It's alright. Y9u did n9t mean t9, and I respect the need t9 kn9w t9 wh9 y9u speak." You nod and go to rub your eyes again.

"[Name] Dear, Do Not Rub Them."

"Sorry.. I'm sorry I shoved you earlier.. Were you hurt?"

"N9, I was n9t hurt."

"What is your name..?"

"Kankri Vantas. May I ask y9urs, 9r w9uld that 6e triggering?"

"I don't mind.. My name is [Name] [last name].."

"Kankri, Why Don't You Show [Name] Around While You Get Better Acquainted."

"A g99d suggesti9n. Shall we [Name]?"

"Yeah.. Sounds good. May I hold onto your arm?"

"I presume y9u must, seeing as y9u d9 n9t kn9w y9ur way ar9und, and y9ur visi9n is impaired." You step forward after being nudged by Kanaya, and hesitantly wrap an arm around a wool clad one. Kankri places a hand over yours and heads out, describing the building in great detail. His voice never falters as he speaks and the sound is rich and very pleasant. You find yourself eagerly waiting for his next explanation, and a feeling creeps through you, flowing into your heart, giddiness shooting through your veins.

"HEY DOUCHE CANOE."

"Karkat I have warned y9u 9f y9ur language 6ef9re, must I teach y9u again?"

"I TOLD YOU, I DON'T FUCKING CARE. SINCE WHEN DO YOU LET PEOPLE, LET ALONE A FUCKING HUMAN TOUCH YOU."

Your smile drops and you glare at the voice, at least you hope you do. "Karkat I 6elieve y9u've triggered her. She's 6lind, and theref9re is in need 9f 6eing led."

You wrinkle your nose as sickly sweet tickles your nose and you hear someone snarl as a weight hits your side and claws dig into your sides. You scream as claws rake down your arms and sides, across your stomach, red blood pooling quickly as the weight is gone with the pounding of feet. You lay there shaking, pain coursing through your body as you draw in a few shaky breaths.

"What Was All The Commotion Karkat?" You hear someone sniffing as the salty copper of blood swirls in the air. "[Name]! What Happened To Her?!" You feel someone crouch beside you and a hand is placed on your shoulder making you groan in pain.

"Karkat d9 n9t just stand there, g9 get 6andages."

"Someone Get Rose, I Will Need Help In Stitching These Cuts." feet pounding on the ground as someone runs up to where you lay on the ground, shaking and taking deep breaths.

"Kanaya you needed- Oh my word! Dave, pick her up, we need to get her somewhere else."

"I have her, y9u tw9 lead the way." Youre lifted up and wool scrathes against your skin, making your wounds throb as blood starts to seep into the material. Your jostled slightly as Kankri carries you, the slapping of feet on the ground the onnly thing besides your ragged breathing and the drip drip drip of blood as it falls from your limp arm.

"Who.."

The arms tighten around you slightly and an angry voice is heard "Gamzee. A friend 9f Karkats. Very triggering, him attacking my.. I mean Y9u." Youre set down on a cold surface and you hear people shuffling about.

"Kankri You'll Need To Be Out Of The Way." Your shirt is cut off from your frame and a burning liquid is poured over the wounds, making you scream and thrash. "Hold Her Down Dave." Hands press into your shoulders and you go limp, not even responding when Rose starts stiching up the worst of the cuts. You twitch when they move you to wrap bandages around you after a couple hours of the tugging senstation of your skin being stitched back together. "[Name]? Are You Alright?"

"Oh Im perfect... I can't see and I can't move because im loaded with stitches.."

"You Can Move, But You Have To Have Assistance."

"Lovely.." You struggle to sit up and hands guide you up gently, lingering for a moment before retreating. You grab for the hand and catch it, pulling the person closer. The smell of blood gets stronger as the person gets nearer and you reach out with the hand that isnt gripping the other persons. "Don't leave.. Please.. I dont want to be alone all by myself..."

"I w9nt leave y9u darling [name], it w9uld be very triggering f9r me t9 leave y9u al9ne while y9u are unable t9 maneuver 9n y9ur 9wn."

"..Kankri, you seem to be very adament on triggers, so Im sorry if I've triggered you at all.. Im just a bit overwhelmed currently.."

"Its quite alright darling [Name]. I w9uld 6e a 6it 9verwhelmed myself, y9u are actually d9ing remarkably well. I am n9t sure I w9uld d9 s9 well in y9ur situati9n."

".. Its just hard for me to.. To understand everything thats going on right now..."

"I understand."

"Do you really..? You seem so smart, and by the way you talk I can assume that you understand more than you say..."

"... It is triggering t9 assume things darling [name]."

"Its not really an assumption, I know. I can see it..."

"May I ask h9w y9u can "see" it?"

"I.. I can see feelings.. I know you hide your knowledge because you're bitter, though that may be because of something else..."

"Y9u're Seer 9f Heart."

"..What?"

"An interesting theory Kankri. Sorry to interrupt but I was bringing [Name] food to help replenish lost blood. It would not explain how she has her powers yet though."

"Ah R9se, I accept y9ur ap9l9gy, th9ugh next time, please ann9unce y9ur presence."

"...Guys? Mind explaining whats going on?"

"Ah, [Name]. Everyone has a title that when they die, they ascend to godhood, and control a certain power. I am the seer of Light, Kankri is the seer of Blood, etcera. You, are a Seer of Heart, which means you can see emotions, though Heart typically deals with self."

"So what does an Seer of Heart do?"

"Heart deals with emotions, feelings, that is why, though your vision is gone you can still see. You see the emotions of people, and you are able to connect them to people and know how they truly feel."

"Is that why I can see all these colors swirling around..?"

"Yes, I believe so."

You hear someone draw in a breath and jump, not expecting the sudden noise. You can see red swirling all around Rose, enveloping her and leading out the door. You look down at yourself and see a small red stringlike mist wrapped up your arm. "Rose, what does red mean?"

"Red? Well I would assume that would be linked to love." You follow the red linked to you, trailing over to a very blurry form swirling with all the colors, a red stringlike mist swirling around his neck. You gasp and reach out blindly, touching the mist wrapped around his neck, tracing it around before a hand grabs your wrist tightly and you squeak in alarm.

"Please darling [Name], if y9u c9uld refrain fr9m t9uching me if p9ssible."

"Im sorry.. You have red.. Wrapped around your neck.."

The grip on your wrist squeezes painfully and you gasp, trying to pull your wrist away. The grip is soon gone and you tumble back, cradling your wrist to you. "Im s9rry darling [Name] I-"

"...Get out.."

"Excuse me?"

"Get out! Get out get out get out!" You see a dark color creep up your legs and puddle around Kankris form, lapping at his ankles.

"Fine." You hear Kankri leave the room and you swat at the color creeping up your legs, calming yourself with each movement of your hand.

"You said he had red wrapped around his neck, correct?"

You jump and stop swatting at the now gone color, turning your head. "..Yeah.."

"He's fallen in love then. I believe the reason it is around his neck is because he is unable to tell him r her how he feels. I know he thinks it triggering to be spoken of behind his back, but he is actually quite angry right now."

"I didn't mean for him to get mad at me.."

"Give him time [Name], I believe he is angry at himself more than anyone. I shall go talk to him, you need to eat the food I have set next to you then sleep."

"Thank you Rose.."

"What I wouldnt do for a friend." Theres a small pat on your shoulder then the sound of a teleporter going off. You proceed to eat what food she gave you, though it tastes weird and you cant tell what it is. After you're done you curl up on whatever you were laid on and close your eyes, trying to even your breathing so you can fall asleep. That night you cry yourself to sleep.

When you wake up (Read: decided to stop pretending, the nightmares were too bad) you don't bother opening your eyes or even moving, save for caustiously stretching. You groan in pain and sit up, running your hands through your hair and resting your head on your knees. You hear someone clear their throat and your head shoots up, your eyes snapping open to the sight of red swirling all over the room, curling around you and the other person.

"Hell9 darling [Name]."

"Kankri.." You reach out for him and the tap tap tap of shoes on the floor is heard before the soft plushness of a wool sweater is felt against your outstretched fingertips. You wrap your arms around him and bury your face in the material. "I-I'm so sorry.. I didn't mean to snap at you I was just so overwhelmed and in so much pain and I-"

"Hush n9w, it was wr9ng 9f me t9 harm y9u, and f9r that I am deeply s9rry."

"B-but Kankri I.."

"Y9u reacted h9w m9st w9uld. N9w listen darling [Name], I came here t9 tell y9u s9mething."

"Okay.."

"It's a bit hard f9r me t9 tell, but I supp9se I sh9uld say it still. After all, I did say I had s9mething t9 tell and it w9uld be very triggering 9f me if I didn't tell y9u." You smile and pull Kankri to sit next to you as he rambles on for a little while. "... But I fully believe that I am flushed f9r y9u, darling [Name]."

You blink and turn towards him "flushed?"

"Ah.. Umm yes, R9se said it was akin t9 y9ur human l9ve."

You smile and rest your head on his shoulder, making him jump slightly. "I love you too Kankri."

"D9 y9u truly?" You feel him shift and happiness is laced within the rich tones of his voice.

"I wouldn't say I did if I didn't.. Besides, I find you to be very endearing and utterly charming, even if others don't see it."

"T9 6e truthful, y9u d9 n9t see anything."

You smile "True, but I can see your emotions."

"That.. May 6e a pr96lem."

You laugh and nudge him "I wont use it unless needed, scouts honor!" You put your hand to your heart and grin.

"I sh9uld h9pe s9." You fall asleep against his shoulder, and you doubt you've slept that good since you were little.
